Today, I am completely drug and alcohol-free … my mental and physical health is better than it has ever been in my life … I feel very good about the future … It is remarkable how fast my life has been rebuilt.
I started drinking as a young teenager on the weekends. Then at the age of 22, I tried meth and was hooked within a week. This went on for about seven years. Then I went to the doctor for help with anxiety, depression and physical pain from the results of the meth.
The doctor put me on Xanax, Cymbalta, Lortab, and Ambien. I felt better for a while, so I thought. This went on for a little over three years. Then while all this was taking place my wife filed for a divorce and full custody of my child and moved out. I thought my life was over so I started drinking from the time I got up to the time I went to bed at night. I had hit rock bottom. I thought there was no way out. I had been court ordered to go to treatment when I arrived at ATMC.
I enrolled for a sixty-day inpatient program and I was worried about the struggle of trying to detox and change my eating habits. They gave me specific supplements to help offset my cravings, and to reduce my anxiety. They also evaluated my toxicity levels and designed a specific neurotoxin removal program to address the toxins that were poisoning me.
After about a month, I started to feel like I wanted to live life again. Today, I am completely drug and alcohol free. I am twenty pounds lighter, my mental and physical health is better than it has ever been in my life. I feel very good about the future. I am eligible to be working in the internship program whereby I can learn the art of delivering alternative mental health regimens, and therefore help others. It is remarkable how fast my life has been rebuilt. I am certain this would have taken years with any other rehab.
